Lefkada is one of the most dramatic and breathtaking islands of the Ionian sea and is connected with the mainland of Greece by a bridge. Despite its small size, beautiful beaches, sophisticated and cosmopolitan capital, Lefkada remains one of the Ionian's most unspoiled destinations.

Truthfully, the coastal towns of Vassiliki and Nydri - where large bays and typical blustery winds attract hundreds of water-sports lovers - have seen some developments, but the greater part of the island has remained authentic and traditional. The Traditional Greek village life is centered around the local kafenio which has been a tradition for century's.

One of the most popular times to visit Lefkada is in September due to the fact prices are lower, temperatures are slightly more mild and the mesmerizing beaches will feel practically unoccupied. The main reason why Lefkada is hugely famous is for its gorgeous beaches and nature! White sand and crystal turquoise waters, surrounded by wild, rich nature, Lefkada will not leave you disappointed. While visiting the island it is a must to adventure to the beach of Egremni, a couple miles south of Athani. Egremni is considered to be one of the best beaches in the whole island. Extremely long in length, soft white sand backed by sheer white cliffs, and constantly tranquil.
